The aim of the program (launched amongst 14 Western-Sydney schools) is to involve students both with and without a disability to participate in sports activities together.
The current program started at the beginning of March 2022 and the effect on students has been remarkable. Mr. Brookfield, a teacher at one of the selected high schools said:
'The Heroes With Ability inclusiveness program teaches our students the basic skills of rugby league in a fun, engaging and safe environment. By being inclusive it has the added benefits of promoting social interaction and inclusive awareness.
